Doran Manufacturing has announced its integration with Platform Science’s Virtual Vehicle open connected vehicle application platform to help fleets reduce tire-related operating expenses, increase equipment uptime, and improve vehicle safety.
Now, fleets using both Doran and Virtual Vehicle can have tire pressure and temperature information clearly displayed via the Doran TPMS mobile app, & remotely through the Doran TPMS portal for convenience and clarity. Data captured and displayed includes real-time notifications for cautionary and critical low-pressure alerts, FastLeak rapid deflation events, and high tire temperature conditions, with the option to add a high-pressure warning.
“These insights also provide driver managers and fleet maintenance teams with real-time visibility on problem tires through email alert notifications, daily summary reporting, and current tire status by vehicle,” the companies said jointly.
Virtual Vehicle, developed in collaboration with Daimler Truck North America, Navistar, PACCAR, and other leading OEMs, enables fleets to access a marketplace of telematics, driver, and fleet management apps through factory-equipped native OEM vehicle architecture or through simple aftermarket hardware installations for non-compatible vehicles.
